Description: The informal and incidental use of peer education are common practice, and whilst there is a considerable amount of literature available, there is a lack of quality evidence on the application and effectiveness of this educational intervention.This review aims to increase the theoretical body of knowledge, which informs this educational practice through a review of the available literature.
