Description: This paper reviews the development, testing and use of extended matching multiple-choice questions (EMQs) at KU Leuven Faculty of Medicine. The paper reports on the findings of research into the reliability and validity of these measures, and concludes that EMQs are appropriate for use in a final test of clinical knowledge in medical education.
