MedBiquitous present a webinar detailing their technology standards behind virtual scenarios at St George's, University of London, and then the role of technology standards in the health professions education.

Technology standards play a valuable role in education, and enable us to use technology to deliver resources, assess performance, and measure improvements. Within the health professions, MedBiquitous is a consortium that develops and promotes technology standards that advance lifelong learning, continuous improvement, and better patient outcomes. They have recently become part of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), under the leadership of Dr Johmarx Patton as the AAMC’s Director of Educational Technologies and Standards.
This webinar will briefly introduce the role MedBiquitous technology standards have played in the use of virtual scenarios at St George’s, University of London and in the WAVES project: in projects, in supporting day-to-day operations, and in research. Dr Patton will then discuss the work of MedBiquitous, the plans for the future, and his vision for the role of technology standards in health professions education. For more information, visit:
