The 2012 AACH Research and Teaching Forum will feature research on communication in healthcare, scholarly presentations on teaching communication in healthcare, workshops on research or teaching methods, and special interest group discussion on topics in healthcare communication and relationship-centered care.
Topics of special interest include:

- Teamwork in the patient-centered medical home;
- Building collaborative healthcare teams;
- Communication and relationships on healthcare teams;
- Patients and families as members of healthcare teams;
- Communicating between primary care, specialties and hospitals;
- Ways Technology can enhance teamwork and communication.
The Forum seeks research and teaching abstracts for oral presentations and posters and proposals for workshops and special interest groups. Links to detailed guidelines and scoring criteria for submissions are available on the submission website.
