Summary: The study looks at learning aids for veterinary students with the use of educational card games.
Description: Various concepts in radiology, including radiographic artefacts and image quality, are challenging for veterinary students. The author’s goal was to assess the utility of educational card games to assist students in learning radiographic concepts. Two card games were developed to provide 2nd-year veterinary students enrolled in a radiology course a supplementary means of learning radiology material. Participants were given the opportunity to play the games and were later tested with radiology questions both related and unrelated to the topics covered by the games. The class’s success was compared to that of a control class for answering identical questions using chi-square and binomial distribution evaluations.
