Description: The classic paper "The viscosity of the blood in narrow capillary tubes" by Robin Fåhraeus and Torsten Lindqvist (Am J Physiol 96: 562-568, 1931) may be a valuable opportunity to teach basic hemorheology to undergraduate students. In the present study, we evaluated whether this “using classic papers to teach physiology” approach would benefit from being integrated with a collaborative teaching strategy in the classroom setting.
