Description: The aim of this work was to study if Finnish trainees are able to reflect on their experiences and perceptions of clinical actions, and if it is possible to distinguish different levels of this ability in relation to professional development. Ten trainees having varying clinical experience and educational background were interviewed. The questions of the semi-structured interviews were based on the EBA syllabus, emphasis being on non-technical skills. The interviews were analysed according to the phenomenographic approach.
