The Teaching Fellow in Medical Education will contribute to the delivery of core teaching, (including anatomy, clinical skills, small group sessions and assessments). We are currently reviewing the MBChB curriculum to ensure alignment with the ‘Outcomes for Graduates’ (GMC 2018) and the Teaching Fellow will have input to this work. There will also be the opportunity for the Teaching Fellow to further develop their academic interests in medical education, for example through publication or application for recognition by the Higher Education Academy through the UK Professional Skills Framework.
You will be a qualified doctor registered with the General Medical Council and have a primary Medical qualification, with an interest in medical education. You will have experience of teaching medical students including anatomy demonstrating and have some understanding of current educational issues in medical education. You will work closely with the Phase and Theme leads and wider administrative team in AUME supporting the course across a range of areas which may include
admissions, curriculum development, assessment, teaching, student support and quality assurance.
