This is your chance to join Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) in pioneering a new era of responsive, student-centred medical education. As Senior Lecturer/ Reader and Academic Lead for Year 2, you will make a major contribution to the development of the KMMS undergraduate programme, introducing teaching innovation to the development and delivery of undergraduate medical education, offering leadership in all aspects of the second year of the programme, and providing an inspirational role model for the next generation of medical professionals.
Kent and Medway Medical School has been created to be a beacon for first-class medical education and research. Bringing together the resources of the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University, our whole ethos is one of partnership. The combined roles of Senior Lecturer/ Reader and Academic Lead for Year 2 involve working closely with our programme, academic and administrative teams across both Universities, as well as with the wider health education community and a variety of external bodies.
As a member of a teaching team, you will deliver high quality undergraduate level learning and teaching activities, developing your own teaching materials, methods and approaches, as well as supervising, advising and providing feedback to students. You will play a key role in coordinating teaching and assessment in Year 2 of the programme and contributing to the ongoing accreditation process.
