A Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer, Medical Education at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is expected to make a major contribution to the education mission of the School. The faculty is expected to lead a multidisciplinary team of House Tutors and Postgraduate Tutors to provide student wellbeing services to MBBS and PhD students respectively. The faculty will also lead the educational engagement and outreach programmes and join a team of facilitators to conduct Team-Based Learning (TBL) sessions in the MBBS programme. Content expertise in conflict management is desirable. In addition, the appointee will contribute to educational research and/or scholarship.
The Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer, Medical Education is appointed by the Dean, LKCMedicine. The primary focus of this role is to contribute, support and develop the delivery of student wellbeing services. The faculty is expected to contribute to educational engagement and outreach programmes, and facilitate TBL sessions in the MBBS curriculum. The appointee is expected to participate in committees, as appropriate, within the School and at the University. The appointee is expected to contribute to educational research and/or scholarship.
The key responsibilities include:
To contribute and support the Student Wellbeing team, House Tutor system and Postgraduate Tutor system, and develop expertise and excellence in the delivery of student wellbeing programmes
To undertake educational engagement activity to promote pedagogy excellence and drive collaboration, and participate in student outreach events
To conduct workshop and courses to enhance the design, development and delivery of teaching and professional development
To facilitate TBL sessions, including e-TBL
To contribute to educational research and/or scholarship, in the areas of student wellbeing and in line with the research strategy of MERSU and the School
