Description: Applications are invited for an appointment as Senior Lecturer Curricular Development and Medical Education at the School of Medicine, NUI Galway. Medicine has been taught at NUI Galway for 175 years and the School of Medicine has a long tradition of clinical education.

We are seeking to appoint a new senior member of staff to join the School of Medicine at an exciting time when the undergraduate medical programme is undergoing a review and when health-professions education is evolving and changing.

The undergraduate medical programme is a complex educational programme with multiple stakeholders, delivered in both University and clinical contexts.

The post is suitable for an experienced educator who is also a registered medical practitioner who will take a leadership role in curriculum development and teaching.

The post is 1 FTE. However, it is expected that there will be a clinical component aligned to the successful candidate’s skill set.
