The Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London is a world-renowned teaching and research environment. It is ranked 4th in the world for Clinical, Pre-clinical and Health in the subject rankings of the Times Higher Education World University rankings and 5th in the UK for Medicine by the Complete University Guide in 2019. It will have nearly 450 academics, 1,000 research and 1,000 support staff across 8 Departments at the start of the 2019/2020 academic year. The Faculty of Medicine has over 2,100 undergraduate students, predominantly via the Imperial College School of Medicine with nearly 1800 medical students, 1,000 postgraduate research and over 800 postgraduate taught students.
The Faculty of Medicine is now seeking an outstanding individual for the role of Programme Director, Education who will have overarching responsibility to develop and implement strategy and policy for the delivery of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education across the Departments and Faculty. This high-profile, exciting senior leadership role has a focus on leading the delivery of operational excellence across all educational activities (including strategy and policy, quality assurance and governance, finance, facilities, staffing), providing a high level of service to students and academics.
