Place, Identity and Learning - PhD Scholarship in Medical Education - Western Sydney University, Australia

Description:
Place, Identity and Learning investigates relationships between sense of place and belonging with the development of place-based professional identities, competence and careers in medically underserved areas. Scholarship holders will join an established research theme grounded in the Western Sydney University medical school's mission to address health disparity with education, research and service delivered in partnership with communities. Research on student selection, curriculum design and implementation, assessment and program evaluation are possible within this theme.
Successful scholarship applicants will have the option of enrolling in:
(1) Western Sydney University Masters or PhD programs; or
(2) Western Sydney University - Maastricht University Dual Award PhD. The Dual Award doctorate is offered in partnership with the world-leading School of Health Professions Education (SHE), Maastricht University, The Netherlands. Successful graduates concurrently enrol in and are awarded PhDs from both universities, within the same period of candidature.
