Description: The Department of Pediatrics at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) seeks a Vice Chair for Medical Education to play a vital leadership role ensuring that the Department remains a pioneer in Pediatric medical education. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished, collaborative physician-leader with a proven commitment to and passion for the academic mission of Pediatrics and demonstrated achievement advancing excellence and innovation in medical education.
The Vice Chair for Medical Education is responsible for fulfilling the Department's mission by preparing medical students, residents and postdoctoral fellows for their careers and ensuring the Department is respected by its peers for innovative and outstanding teaching, and by demonstrating extraordinary compassion and commitment to the service of patients, the medical profession, and the community. It is in this context that the Vice Chair will provide leadership and engage in continuous quality improvement for pediatric medical education programs and initiatives across the medical education continuum: undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education.
