The Department of Physician Assistant Studies of the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences welcomes applications for a non-tenure track, full-time (12 month) faculty position to lead the development of the department’s research program. Rank (assistant/associate/full professor) and salary commensurate with experience; total compensation includes a generous benefits package. Start-up research funding will be provided with the expectation that extramural funding will be secured within three years to partially support the research program.
The department values educational innovation, diversity and interprofessional collaboration and is home of one of the premier PA programs in the country. Other educational opportunities include a joint PA/Master of Public Health program and a post-baccalaureate program to prepare students from non-science backgrounds to apply to medical and health professions graduate programs
Primary responsibilities include developing a research agenda for the department in collaboration with the department Chair and faculty; conducting and leading educational research projects aligned with department initiatives and personal research program; mentoring faculty on the conduct of research; participating in program evaluation, curriculum development, and course instruction; and engaging in service to the department, university, and profession.
