Description: The role of the Clinical Skills Teaching Fellow is to meet the evolving needs of clinical skills and simulation programmes in Undergraduate Medical Education. The school is in a period of embedding a new curriculum and the post holder will be involved in the planning, design and delivery of a range of clinical skills teaching, simulation and e-learning resources.
This will require the post holder to take a scholarly approach to the design, delivery & evaluation of simulation based education and clinical skills teaching and be part of a dynamic team who work creatively and proactively to improve the student learning experience.
The focus of our work is to embed the foundation skills of values based clinical practice in year 1 and help the students learn and develop their clinical practice through a simulation programme which compliments their clinical placements. We work as part of the Values Based Clinical Practice Theme which is a longitudinal strand in the curriculum.
