The Asian Medical Education Association (AMEA) and the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong are very pleased to invite friends and colleagues to join the 9th Asian Medical Education Association (AMEA) Symposium cum Frontiers in Medical and Health Sciences Education 2017 on December 14 - 16, 2017. The Symposium is a flagship event to celebrate both the 20th anniversary of AMEA, and also the 130th anniversary of the HKU Medical Faculty who was the Founder of AMEA. It is the grand finale of the yearlong celebrations of "130 Years of Medicine in Hong Kong".
Entitled "Preparing Healthcare Learners for a Changing World", the 3-day symposium will feature stimulating plenary sessions, panel discussions, workshops and free paper presentations. The main themes include innovation in pedagogy, innovation in technology, internationalization/curriculum development and interprofessional education/team-based learning. In addition, other sub-themes such as admissions, assessment, continued professional development, faculty development, medical volunteerism, work life balance⦠and many more, will be discussed.
We are privileged to have a panel of eminent overseas speakers as well as a diverse complement of regional and local speakers from Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Chinese Medicine, Psychology and Behavioural Health -- all of whom will undoubtedly inspire debate and discussion:
