This is a very relevant development, especially with the COVID -19 pandemic. The teaching of patient safety and quality improvement is not uniform in medical education and can at times be ad-hoc and may seem irrelevant in settings where the drive to do things is to meet government or organizational targets.
Initiative in patient safety and quality improvement has proven to have a positive impact on patient care even during this pandemic. This SIG in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement should provide a forum for educators and researchers to discuss and develop a community of practice.
Best wishes.
