Graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University (Georgia) in 1977. Defended my PhD thesis in Cardiology. Currently I am Professor on Internal Medicine and Head of the Department of Medical Education Research and Strategic Development, Head of Department of Geriatrics.
Dr. Ziganshina is an MD, PhD, Pediatrician, Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatrics, and senior specialist for the Dean's Office of the Faculty of International Students at Kazan State Medical University (KSMU), Kazan, Russia. She is a graduate of KSMU.
In 2007, I graduated from TSMU. Nowadays I’m the small group advisor and “Becoming a doctor” course instructor at TSMU; Deputy head of the medical education department as well as AMEE Georgian Networking centre. I’m the HEI authorization expert at the NCEQE of Georgia.
Dr. Gennadii Piavchenko is a senior lecturer at the Histology, Cytology and Embryology Dept, Sechenov University. His professional interests are based on assessment of teacher’s professional burnout and course effective redundancy reduction.

Dr Helen Phagava, MD, PhD, MPH is a lecturer at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, TSMU, Georgia; and co-editor of IJHG. She has participated in the numerous health-related projects, and authored more than 75 scientific publications. In 2021 she received AMEE Specialist Certificate.
FAIMER-fellow, Head of cytopathology department and USMD program at TSMU, Member of Georgian Academy of Natural Sciences, former Vice Rector of TSMU on research, member of MEDINE2, has a remarkable contribution in standard setting to health care and medical education in Georgia.
